Waterpik Aquarius WP-660
Our countertop starting point offers the larger reservoir and more pressure settings of these two models. The tradeoff is a separate base and a corded power supply. Check outlet compatibility before buying for use outside North America.

Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 WP-580
Compare this model if you prefer a handheld unit. Its smaller reservoir holds less water per fill, and it needs recharging. The supplied cable uses USB-A; budget for a compatible power source if you do not already have one.

How we picked these options
We compared manufacturer-listed tip compatibility, pressure adjustment, reservoir capacity and power requirements for two different setups. This is a specifications comparison, not a hands-on or clinical test. Our picks help you compare practical features; they do not rank treatment results or replace advice from your orthodontist.
What do shoppers ask about water flossers for braces?
What is the best Waterpik for braces?
Choose by setup: the Aquarius WP-660 is our countertop starting point, while the Cordless Advanced 2.0 WP-580 suits a handheld setup. Both list an orthodontic tip. The choice here is about reservoir size and power, not a claim that one model cleans braces better.
Should I buy an electric toothbrush with a water flosser?
Only if you want both devices; neither model compared here includes an electric toothbrush. Compare the brushing features separately, then check the flosser’s pressure controls and included tips. The ADA describes brushing and cleaning between teeth as separate parts of daily care. Our electric toothbrush guide covers the brushing options.
How do I choose a water flosser for braces?
Start with the exact model’s included tips, adjustable pressure, reservoir and power requirements. An orthodontic tip listed as an optional accessory is different from one supplied in the box. Then decide whether a countertop base or a handheld unit fits your space, and follow your orthodontist’s cleaning advice.
Is a water flosser useful with braces?
Yes. The ADA says water flossers can be an option when braces make flossing by hand difficult. That does not make a water flosser a replacement for brushing. Ask your dentist or orthodontist which between-teeth cleaning method fits your braces and follow their advice alongside the product instructions.
Health reference: the ADA’s guide to water flossers explains their role in cleaning between teeth. Product details above come from Waterpik; they do not establish that either model is best for every person with braces.

Which source can help you check this choice?
Check the exact product in the ADA directory. A brand name alone does not establish that a particular model has the Seal.
