Who We Are
The Great Reviewer started with a simple frustration: too many review sites that tell you everything except whether something is actually good.
You’ve seen them. Walls of specs. Paragraphs of filler. A “conclusion” that somehow never concludes anything. We built this site to be the opposite of that.
Here’s our promise: every category we cover, every product we recommend, we give you a real opinion. Not a press release rewrite. Not a spec sheet with adjectives. A genuine take on whether this thing is worth your money — and if it’s not, we’ll tell you that too.
We cover everything from car accessories and tech gadgets to home tools, outdoor gear, and whatever else people are Googling at 2am before clicking “Add to Cart.” If it exists and people buy it, we’ll review it.
Why trust us? We don’t get paid to say something is good. We earn a small commission when you buy through our links — but that only works if we actually steer you right. A bad recommendation loses a reader forever. So our incentives are pretty well aligned with yours.
Who runs this
The Great Reviewer is founded and edited by Juan Bodniza. Every recommendation on this site is published under his name, and he is the person accountable for it. If a pick is wrong, that is on him — write to support@thegreatreviewer.com and it gets corrected.
How we actually decide
We want to be straight with you about what this site is and is not, because plenty of review sites are not.
- We are a comparison site, not a laboratory. We do not run instrumented lab tests, and we do not claim to.
- What we do: we read the full specification of every product in a category, we read what independent labs and established reviewers have published about them, and we read what verified owners report after living with them — especially the complaints that keep coming back.
- What we rank on: whether a product does the job it is bought for, at a price that makes sense against the alternatives, without a recurring flaw that owners keep reporting.
- What we will not do: take payment for a placement, invent a test we did not run, or leave a bad pick up once we know it is bad.
We earn a commission when you buy through our links. That is the whole business model, and it only works if the recommendation is right, because a reader who gets burned does not come back.
