TheGreatReviewer World Cup Seat Finder (“the Extension”) is developed by TheGreatReviewer.com. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Local Data (No Account Required)

All seat scan data, price history, and locally configured alerts are stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Email Alerts (Optional)

The Extension offers an optional email alert feature. If you choose to enter your email address to receive seat availability notifications, the following data is collected and stored on our server:

• Your email address
• Your alert preferences (match, maximum price, seat category)
• Alert activity logs (timestamps of when alert emails were sent)

This data is stored in a private database hosted on Hostinger and is used solely to deliver the seat availability notifications you requested. Submitting your email also adds you to the TGR World Cup newsletter — you may unsubscribe from either at any time.

Email collection is entirely optional. The Extension’s core seat-scanning features work without providing an email address.

Double Opt-In Confirmation

When you sign up for email alerts, a confirmation email is sent to verify your address before any alert emails are delivered. You must click the confirmation link to activate your alert. This ensures no alerts are sent to an address without the owner’s consent.

How to Unsubscribe / Delete Your Data

Every alert email contains a one-click Unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it immediately deactivates your alert and removes your email from our alerts mailing list. You can also toggle individual alerts off directly in the Extension at any time. To request complete deletion of your data from our servers, contact us at support@thegreatreviewer.com.

Third-Party Services

If you use the email alert feature, your email address is shared with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our transactional email provider, solely for the purpose of delivering alert emails. Brevo acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your email for any other purpose. You can review Brevo’s privacy policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.

The Extension does not use advertising networks, analytics services, or any other third-party tracking.

How the Extension Works

The Extension reads publicly visible seat availability data from the tickets.fifa.com seatmap — the same data already displayed to you in your browser. It does not log in on your behalf, does not access your FIFA account credentials, and does not perform any action requiring authentication.

When seats matching your alert criteria are found, the Extension sends that seat data to our server (thegreatreviewer.com) so confirmed email subscribers can be notified. No browsing history, personal FIFA account data, or payment information is ever transmitted.

Websites Accessed

The Extension’s content scripts are active only on tickets.fifa.com. Background alert delivery communicates only with thegreatreviewer.com. No other websites are accessed.

Data Retention

Server-side alert data is retained while your alert is active. Inactive and unsubscribed records are retained in anonymised form for internal analytics but are never used to contact you again. To request full deletion, email us at support@thegreatreviewer.com.

No Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
